Cameron Ralph

Personal Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach.

At the beginning of 2020 I met Cameron Ralph at a networking group, where we got chatting, exchanged details and began our business friendship. As we went into the first lockdown and then out of it, we kept in touch discussing ways in which we could support each other. Finally when we were allowed to work again, back in September 2020, we set up our first shoot - as Cameron was in the search for some personal branding photos for his online content. This was a two in one shoot, where we had two goals to achieve in one session, photos for the podcast and for the weightlifting class - making the most of our limited time.

I really enjoyed this photographic challenge of having to keep our distance (social distancing rules) while still creating interesting and aesthetically pleasing visual content, trying to create depth and experiment with angles which would work best for the kind of photos he wanted. Personally, I love a good challenge, and this certainly was one.

Here are some of my favourite shots of Cameron in action, where I think it best captures the activity at hand, as well as his personality and approach to what he does.

Throughout these lockdowns and restrictions due to covid, we have been able to support each other in a few ways. Firstly, the podcast and weightlifting photoshoot, then he gave me tips and exercises to practice while in lockdown to strengthen my back. Next was a photographic documentation session of Cameron and Ministry Gym cycling 24 hours for MIND charity - raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing. And I am sure there will be many more opportunities to come.

Connections with others is so important, especially during this time of isolation, not only for our work but also for our mental health and wellbeing. I am super grateful to have met Cameron last year, and all that has been created through this business friendship.
